Schon ein Weilchen her, daß ich hier geschrieben habe.
Mittlerweile…
… ist das Institut umgezogen, jetzt ist es das Institut für Astrophysik und nicht mehr die Universitätssternwarte. Die meisten Sachen haben sich erstmal ein wenig eingespielt, aber irgendwas ist dann doch immer wieder.
… gab es diverse Terroranschläge…
… wurde der Bundestag aufgelöst…
… ist “Scotty” gestorben…

The last service mission for the the Hubble Space Telescope has been cancelled, so it looks like its lifetime will be over in just a few years, before there will even be the next generation of space telescope up there. Whatever reasons - money, security,… - cause the final decision, it’s definately a big loss [...]

Nobel Prize in Physics

Alexei A. Abrikosov
(Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, Illinois, USA).
Vitaly L. Ginzburg
(P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute, Moscow, Russia) and
Anthony J. Leggett
(University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois, USA)
for pioneering contributions to the theory of superconductors and superfluids.

Next Space Shuttle Launch

According to John F. Kennedy Space Center - Space Shuttle Launch Schedule the next Space Shuttle Flight (STS-114) will be launched no earlier than Steptember 12, 2004, which means another delay of about half a year.
