Computerzeugs…

So… Gentoo läuft seit gestern auf dem alten Rechner, der “babylon” getauft wurde, dort liegt nun ein Subversion Repository in das ich das Home-Directory meines Desktops (“kosh”) importiert habe. Ich kämpfe im Moment noch ein wenig damit, alle möglichen Verzeichnisse und Dateien ignorieren zu lassen (Browsercache, lock-files etc.)… mal schauen wie das wird. Nagios hab [...]

Installation auf der HP Kayak endlich am Gange

Nachdem die Kayak mit dem alten P2 450 MHz nun schon Monate bei mir rumsteht, da es immer Probleme mit der SCSI Festplatte gab, hab ich nun endlich ‘ne IDE Platte eingebaut und eine Gentoo Stage 1 Installation gestartet. Seit gestern scheint das Online-Angebot von Heise.de massiv unter einer DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) Attacke zu leiden, wodurch es wohl auch zu massiven Ausfaellen kam und kommt. Neuer Kernel fuer den Router

Heute mal unserem Router endlich einen neuen Kernel verpasst. Einen bewaehrten 2.4er mit ein paar Patches vom Netfilter patch-o-matic und den Patches von http://l7-filter.sourceforge.net (“Application Layer Packet Classifier for Linux”).
